Your Utility Bill has Changed!

One Bill for 3 Different Programs

There are now three types of charges included on your new bill. Each is set by a different governing body and each supports different programs. They are combined onto a single bill in order to reduce overhead and mailing costs for ratepayers.

NEW Information

New Numbers!

You have been assigned a new account number and a new customer ID number.

New Breakout of Water Charges!

Your water rates have not changed, but for Hillsboro Water customers the way they are listed on your bill has changed. The two charges that have always made up your water bill are now listed separately, rather than combined into a single total as was shown on the old bill. By seeing the charges listed separately, you get a better idea of how your water cost is calculated.

Your Water Base is a flat charge that is determined by your meter size.

Your Water Usage is a variable charge determined by the amount of water you’ve used since the last billing statement. You control the amount of this charge by using more or less water.

New Fee!

Your new bill also includes the new Transportation Utility Fee (TUF). For more information on the new fee, please visit the TUF webpage, or contact the Engineering Department at 503.681.6146.

What Must I Do?

If you pay by check, please be sure to write your new account number on your check. If you pay with on-line banking through your bank, please change the account number with your bank. If you pay your bill on the city’s website, please visit the Utility Billing webpage for more information.
