Recreation volunteer opportunities are available year-round. These volunteer positions are great for anyone interested in sports, nature, education, enjoy working with kids, and/or assisting with special events. |
Special Events
Assist with special events such as the Annual Turkey Trot, Visit with Santa, The Hillsboro World Expedition, Java Rock Cafe, A Knight with a Princess, and the Mother/Son Dinner. Volunteers can help plan, coordinate, set up, clean up, and volunteer on the day of the event. Please check our current volunteer opportunities - special events for a current list. |

Summer Camps
Volunteers are needed to assist with the Outpost at Shute Park, Sizzling Summer Day Camp, Sports Camps, and The Zone Middle School Summer Camp. There are many different tasks for volunteers including (but not limited to):
- field trip guide (must be 18 of age or older)
- assist with art and craft projects
- assist sports instructor
- serve lunches
- lead and/or assist with games and activities

Classroom Assistants
Assist instructors with various art, dance, fitness and sports classes. Positions available upon instructors request, as needed.

After School Programs
Volunteers are needed to help out with our after school sports and enrichment programs (BLAST) during the school year from October - May. Sports and classes change every 6 weeks. Contact the Volunteer Services Coordinator for current opportunities. |
