In Partnership With Our Community

We are proud to partner with our residents, businesses and other community partners to make Hillsboro a safe Hillsboro Police Departmentplace to grow up, and to grow old. The people we meet often say, “You don’t seem like a cop to me.” Our culture is a little different that way. We know that sometimes the right words, the right attitude and genuine care for the people who call Hillsboro home, make all the difference.

People typically think of police exclusively as law enforcement officers, and that’s certainly a critical part of what the Hillsboro Police Department does. But there are many other ways we work to connect with the community and make Hillsboro a safe and great place.
