Backyard burning is allowed only during these periods pending any additional restrictions on the Burn Line:

March 1 – June 15
October 1 –December 15

Call the Burn Line at 503-681-6204 before you burn.  The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality may prohibit backyard burning even during these periods due to unacceptable air quality levels.  Additionally, the Washington County Fire Defense Board Chief may also prohibit open or backyard burning at any time due to dangerously dry weather conditions.  Burning during prohibited days or times may result in a fine.
