This proposed roadway begins at the intersection of NE 28th Avenue and Grant Street and
extends easterly through the County Fairgrounds to intersect with NE 34th Avenue and then
Brookwood Avenue. Veterans Drive will include two travel lanes, raised bike lanes, a center
median turn lane, and sidewalks. A traffic roundabout is proposed at the intersection of
Veterans Drive and 34th Avenue. Construction of this road provides additional capacity that can
be used by traffic currently on Cornell Road and may reduce the need for a future expansion of
Cornell Road.
