Volunteer Opportunities

image of YPC volunteersOur volunteer mission is to enhance the quality of life in Hillsboro through active citizen participation.  Volunteers accomplish this by assisting and supporting the Police Department in promoting individual responsibility and working in partnership with our community to reduce crime, fear of crime, and to enhance the livability of Hillsboro.

There are many volunteer opportunities within the Hillsboro Police Department.  Currently, we are recruiting both adult and youth volunteers for our Youth Peer Court Program.  Adults will serve as volunteer judges presiding over court sessions.  Youth volunteers will serve as jury members, hearing juvenile cases, and determining appropriate sentences.

All volunteers are required to submit an application packet and successfully complete a background check, interview, and training process.  If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact us at 503-615-6797 or visit our contact us page, and we can set up a time to meet.

Thank you again for your interest in volunteering with the Hillsboro Police Department.
