Property and Evidence |
| |
| The Property & Evidence Unit seeks to offer professional and highly efficient services to the public through return or disposal of property while maintaining the integrity of evidence for court. An essential component of the department, this unit provides for the security and control of seized, recovered, and safekeeping property.
With advanced training in property room management and crime scene processing, this unit is where prosecution of a case begins. Evidence collection, the storage and preparation of evidence for court, forensic examination of items and, above all, maintenance of the integrity of evidence lends to successful prosecution. Continued education and timely use of knowledge both in our lab and at crime scenes helps promote public safety and awareness of technology and its application to law enforcement.
