PLANNING COMMISSION:

When:   2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month

Time:    6:30 p.m.

Place:   Hillsboro Civic Center Auditorium

General Description:

This body is comprised of seven lay persons appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council to serve a four-year term that may be renewed.  The Commission is the decision making authority for applications which deal with land uses and land use policy, such as comprehensive plan changes, zoning ordinance amendments, planned unit developments, subdivisions, concept development plan applications, cultural resource alterations, floodplain alterations and significant natural resource level 2 permit applications.  Decisions of the Commission can be made by minute order or by adoption of a formal Order and findings. Some decisions of the Commission are forwarded to the Council as a recommendation.
