Hillsboro Youth Basketball League

HYB provides a recreational basketball program for boys and girls in grades 3 - 12 who reside in the Hillsboro School District. Registration for all leagues begins on October 1 and ends on November 12. After the November 12 deadline, you will be placed on a waiting list and placed on a team if space allows. If you played last year, you'll receive an information card in the mail. If not, information flyers can be picked up at the Hillsboro Parks and Recreation office and the Tyson Recreation Center in early October.

Grades 11 & 12 will be evaluated from 9 - 10 am and grades 9 & 10 will be evaluated from 10:30 - 11:30 am. Teams will be formed based on evaluations. Boys and girls teams will be formed by school attendance area on a first-come, first "served" basis. Once teams are formed, coaches will notify their players of their first practice on November 30.

The Elementary Leagues (grades 3 - 6) will begin play on January 4 and end on March 17. Fees are $45 per player. Games and practices will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6 pm, 7 pm or 8 pm at Hillsboro elementary schools. Players will be notified by coaches in mid-December of their first practice.

Parent coaches are needed to run this program successfully. Let us know at registration if you will coach or assistant coach. Selected coaches will be notified of the coaches meetings. For more information call 503-681-6120.
