WHO is TRY?
A middle school program connecting Hillsboro youth with the community they are growing up in |
Who are we?
TRY is made up of a group of Hillsboro Middle Schoolers WHO are:
- Excited to play an important part in making the community they’re growing up in an even better place than what it already is
- Eager to learn the “behind the scenes” operations of some really cool Hillsboro organizations
- Ready to meet other Hillsboro Middle Schoolers
- Totally up for having a great time
How many members have you guys had in TRY since 2004?
- 108 members from all 4 Hillsboro Middle Schools — so cool!
Requirements every TRY member must be willing to agree to:
- Maintain a 2.0 Grade Point Average (School is way more important than anything else!)
- Serve for one school year (November — May)
- Mandatory attendance for at least 3 service projects
- You are encouraged to attend as many service projects as you would like
- Represent your middle school’s student body
- Communicate with other Hillsboro Middle Schoolers about TRY
- Advertise for Hillsboro Parks and Recreation’s programs
