Hillsboro Area Lacrosse Organization (HALO)

HALO is for boys and girls from 1st to 8th grades.

1 & 2 $ 60 T-shirt & stick
3/4 & 5/6 $130 Jersey
7 & 8 $150 Jersey
Financial aid can be requested for HALO. Persons requesting financial aid must complete this form English (PDF)/Espanol (PDF) and return along with the HALO registration form to the Hillsboro Parks and Recreation Department (4400 NW 229th Ave, Hillsboro, OR 97124).
 

1st & 2nd Grades

The first and second grade program is coed and emphasizes development and basic catching, throwing and ground ball pick-up skills. There is no contact at this level and players use soft balls.

 

3rd - 8th Grade

Lacrosse Equipment Options

The following equipment is required for grades 3 - 8:

  • Girls - Stick, goggles, mouthpiece.
  • Boys - Stick, helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, cup, mouthpiece.
  • Soccer/Football cleats are recommended.

Team jerseys are included in the participation fees.

No rental equipment is available through HALO. To purchase lacrosse equipment, visit a sporting goods store such as Dick's Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, or a lacrosse specific store such as ChopStix Lacrosse, Gear Up Sports or Bigfoot Lacrosse. Alternatively, you may be able to purchase used gear at Play it Again Sports or find it online at Lacrosse for All.

Team Formation

Age divisions for Boys and Girls: 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th,

Teams will be formed based on school attendance areas and high school feeder alignments. Representatives from each high school club will help form the spring teams.
