Hillsboro Senior Center

Wednesday nights

4:30 - 8:30 pm

4-5 volunteers needed on Wednesday nights to help run BINGO night at the Hillsboro Senior Center. BINGO night is an entertaining night for the senior community to get together and have some fun while raising money to help support the center. Volunteers are needed to set up food tables, sell cards at the door, call numbers and help make usre BINGO night runs smoothly. Groups and individuals are welcome to volunteer. An ongoing commitment is preferred.

After School Programs

Assisting with after school programs is a great way to gain great work experience, build a resume or complete a senior project.

BLAST - Bringing Leadership, Arts & Sports Together

October - May

Elementary Schools

Monday - Friday

2 pm - 5 pm (hours vary)

Help youth with homework time, sports, and other fun activities.  A commitment of at least one day per week is needed - schedules can be made based on volunteer availability.

Middle School Programs

After School Sports

September - May

Middle Schools

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday

2 - 5 pm (hours vary)

Assistant coaches needed to teach youth the fundamentals of different sports.  Each sport offered runs for 10-week increments.  A commitment of at least one day per week is needed - schedules can be made based on volunteer availability.

The ZONE

Monday - Thursday (days vary with program)

2 - 5 pm (hours vary)

Program assistants needed to help with middle school after school programs. Volunteers can be an assistant coach for basketball or help out with an after school enrichment program such as homework club or yummy desserts. A commitment of at least one day per week is needed.  Schedule can be made based on vounterr availability.

Cultural Arts Center

Volunteers are needed at the Glenn & Viola Cultural Arts Center to help out with a variety of programs and events.  Volunteers can:                       

• Usher Concerts
• Assist in classrooms with various art classes
• Help facilitate gallery openings
• Assist with family art nights

Get Dirty!

Looking for a group project outdoors? Parks & Recreation can accommodate all ages and group sizes with projects in any of our great parks.  Help pick-up litter, work on trails, rake leaves, or remove invasive plants.  We provide the tools and and supplies for all projects!

Volunteer Requirements

Volunteers need to be 15 years of age or older.  Some positions may require an application, background check, and an interview process.
