Gordon Faber Recreation Complex

Gordon Faber Recreation Complex/Hillsboro Stadium Aerial ViewThe Gordon Faber Recreation Complex, adjacent to Hwy. 26, is a 90+ acre site consisting of a 7,000-seat multipurpose stadium with 170,000 sq. ft. of newly-installed FieldTurf all-weather artificial surface, and six softball fields. A baseball stadium with FieldTurf is currently under construction and will host a professional baseball team as well as numerous community activities beginning in June, 2013. The Complex is a unique facility that serves the community in many ways including use by residents for softball, soccer, football, baseball, and lacrosse, spectator opportunities in sporting events, special events, and community activities. The Complex also hosts events and tournaments that attract spectators and participants for the region and throughout the country.Hillsboro Stadium

The Complex also has a jogging path on the perimeter of the site for running, walking, and bicycling events.

Hillsboro Stadium

Hillsboro Stadium at the Gordon Faber Recreation ComplexThe Hillsboro Stadium has 170,000 sq. ft. of newly-installed FieldTurf to provide an all-weather surface for a myriad of sports and recreational uses including baseball, softball, football, soccer and lacrosse. The Stadium is also designed with spectator amenities such as covered seating, sound systems, scoreboards, concession stands, club seats, press boxes, private booths, team and training facilities, and parking. Softball Complex

Gordon Faber Recreation Complex - Softball Fields 5, 6 & 7The Softball Complex is comprised of six premier, natural grass softball fields.The fields are used for recreation league play and tournaments. The fields may also be used for local youth league tournaments. The Hillsboro Stadium field can be converted to an all weather artificial surface for additional softball field. Baseball Stadium

 

Hillsboro baseball stadium with 360 degree concourseConstruction began on the 4,500 capacity stadium with a groundbreaking ceremony on September 21. The Hillsboro Hops will play their first home game on the field in mid-June, 2013. The field's artificial turf will include lines for other sports, including soccer and lacrosse, and is expected to host a number of high school and recreation league teams as well as community events.
