Brief Biography:

Councilor Doug Johnson was elected to the City Council in 2002 and re-elected in 2006.  As a downtown business owner, he decided to run for Council because he wanted to be involved in efforts to improve downtown Hillsboro.  He also serves as Chair of the City's Finance Committee.

Doug moved to Hillsboro in 1973 after graduating from college and has called it home ever since.   He has been active in various organizations including the Hillsboro Downtown Business Association, Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce, Hillsboro Tuesday Marketplace, Hillsboro Kiwanis and the Hillsboro Library Board.

Doug has owned the Hillsboro Pharmacy on Main Street since 1978.  The Pharmacy opened in 1873 and is one of the oldest continually operating businesses in Hillsboro. Doug and his wife have two children and one grandchild. 

He earned an associate degree in 1970 from Clark Junior College and a bachelor of science in Pharmacy from the University of Washington in 1978.
