Councilor Fred Nachtigal was elected to the Council in 2013. As a lifelong Hillsboro resident and businessman, both living and working in the downtown area, he wants to work to maintain the vitality and livability of the city he calls home. He anticipates his work on the City Council will be interesting and rewarding.
His Oregon roots are seen in his educational background. Fred graduated from Hillsboro High School, Southern Oregon University and Lewis and Clark College. Currently, he is an attorney at the law firm Nachtigal, Eisenstein & Associates.
Fred is a member of the City's Finance Committee and Audit Committee. He has also been involved in the Tuality Hospital Board, Valley Catholic School Board, Hillsboro Optimist Club and the All Saints Episcopal Church.
Fred and Gayle Nachtigal have two grown daughters.
