Constance
Lee Adams: Constance Lee Adams is a multi-disciplined artist who focuses
on sculpture and has exhibited her work in the greater Portland area since
1987. She also works in Interior Design and decorative painting for Ladybug
Wallpapering and Design, which she owns in Aloha. Before teaching at the
Cultural Arts Center, she was an Assistant Art Instructor and Artist Assistant
at the Leon and Bronowski Studios, Portland. Constance holds a Bachelor
of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Pacific Northwest College of Art and an
Associate of Arts in Humanities from Portland Community College.
Jennifer Champlin: Jen Champlin
has a masters degree in ceramics from Syracuse University. She has taught
art to all age levels from kindergarten through college. Jen married her
high school sweetheart Glen and has two "works in progress," Brett and

Nanette Davis: Nanette has been exhibiting her work and teaching basketry for 20 years. A major focus of her work has been on the Japanese dye technique arashi shibori. She uses her shibori dyed silk as the skin for large wall sculptures. Recently she began bonding the dyed silk to acetate, foil and paper, then cutting the material into narrow strips to use with the basketry technique bias plaiting. The new materials and plaiting yield lovely silk shibori basket sculptures that shine like glass or have a metallic inner glow.
Alice Hill:
Alice is a painter and mixed media artist who has taught in the Portland
area for over six years. She also teaches in PNCA's Youth Programs and
the Portland Art Museum and has taught at the Oregon School of Arts and
Crafts and Multnomah Art Center. Alice holds a BFA in Painting from
Marylhurst University, Oregon and an Associate of Arts Degree in Technical
and Scientific Illustration, which she used as a medical illustrator for
the University of California at San Diego Medical School. She recently
completed an artist-in-residence program at Crater Lake National Park.
Eileen Kane: Eileen Kane
is a painter whose poetic work has won numerous awards and is exhibited
frequently in the Portland area and across America. An arts educator since
1990, Eileen has taught at the Multnomah Art Center, Pacific Northwest
College of Art, Art Institute of Portland as well as the public school
systems as part of the RACC Artists in Education program. Her degrees
include a B.A. from Smith College, a M.A. in Medical Sciences and a Ph.D.
in Anatomy from Harvard University, and a B.F.A from Pacific Northwest
College of Art. She is represented in Portland by Brian Marki Gallery

Lila Lindquist: Lila Lindquist creates art in stained glass, fused glass, and mosaics. She began as a student at a local stained glass studio in 2002. Within a year, she was the teacher's aide! In 2004, she began teaching stained glass in the copper foil and lead methods. She has taught classes at Rose's Glassworks as well as through Portland Community College. Amanda Long: Amanda made her theatrical debut on a Hillsboro stage over a dozen years ago. A Hilhi graduate, she attended college in Ashland, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Southern Oregon University. She has experience teaching theater to all grade levels, and is also a conservation educator at the Oregon Zoo. You may catch her in local productions around the Portland area. Recent work includes roles with Bag & Baggage, Oregon Children's Theater, Tears of Joy, and Portland Actor's Ensemble.
Brian Oberlin is a singing multi-instrumentalist originally from Grand Rapids, MI. He has taught hundreds of students of all skill levels and ages on the mandolin, as well as beginners on guitar and tenor banjo for more than 12 years. Being self-taught has significantly heightened and refined Brian's teaching techniques. He believes that some students can be intimidated during their first music lessons. He mollifies these feelings by making students laugh and by reminding them that music is FUN! Michael Orwick: A native
Oregonian residing in Hillsboro, Michael Orwick is the creator of paintings
and illustrations that illuminate childhood fantasies and his own world
travels. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from Pacific Northwest College

Victoria Shaw:Victoria Shaw has a background in ceramics spanning over thirty years. She has a Bachelors of Fine Art a nd a Masters of Fine Art from the University of Oregon. She has instructed locally since 1988 at Multnomah Art Center and more recently at Portland Community College. Pasca le Steig has an MAT in Arts & Letters from Portland State University and is a self-taught visua l artist who enjoys sketching, comics and visual journaling. A member of the Portland Visual Journaling group, she strongly believes in the benefits of art for personal growth. James F. Smith began painting utilizing how-to books in 1968!. He has since studied with Jim Westall, E. John Robinson, Harold Walkup, Katherine Friday and Florence Thurman. He began showin g and demonstrating his work at the Washington County Fair in 1968. He has exhibited at numerous galleries on the Coast and in the Portland area. Smith is currently showing his work at the Oregon Society of Artists in Portland Oregon and the International Miniature shows in Pennsylvania and Nags Head, North Carolina. A second generation artist, Smith owned and operated the Paint 'n Place in Hillsboro with his mother, the late Stella Dralle. Disabled twice by brain surgeries in 1976 and again in 1992, Smith firmly believes success in art is a matter of tenacity rather than purely talent. He has taught art classes locally and at the coast for 40 years.
