BUILDING COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS
with Paula Manley
September 15, 2010
Walters Cultural Arts Center
4-6 pm, $25.00
Course #25900

Has your organization had “mixed results” with recent collaborations? Are you debating the pros and cons of partnering with another organization? Local non-profit groups know that there is strength in numbers, but how do you work with another group and make it successful for everyone?
In the complex and ever-changing environment for arts and culture groups, collaborating has become more of a norm to help achieve our missions. Yet, few collaborative partnerships reach their full potential or involve partners outside the arts. In the workshop, “Building Collaborative Partnerships,” you'll learn how to create positive collaborations, as well as:
- Assess your “collaborative capacity”
- Evaluate the pros and cons of collaboration
- Identify common ground between you and potential partners
- Learn the fundamentals of “conscious collaboration”
- Plan your next steps with a current or future collaborative partner
