The City of Hillsboro Administration Department oversees all City services provided to the community. The executive management team (City Manager and Assistant City Managers), located in the Administration Department, implements policy direction set by the City Council through management of all City departments' operations. Other staff include the City Recorder's office, risk management team, City Attorney, project management team, public affairs and administrative support. The functions of the Administration Department cover interdepartmental project management, intergovernmental relations, community outreach, media relations, records management, sustainability, elections coordination, strategic planning, legal services as well as franchise management for utilities, telecommunications and solid waste.
