2011 SOLV Beach & Riverside Clean-up

Hamby Park & Orchard Park
100 volunteers needed to help remove invasive English ivy and other species from Orchard and Hamby Parks. Volunteers will also help plant and mulch native trees and shrubs. Gloves, tools, and all necessary guidance provided. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather - Rain or Shine.

Hamby Park Stewardship & Outdoor Recreation Day!
Saturday, October 8th
9:00 am—11:00 am — Park Stewardship 
11:30 am—1:30 pm — Outdoor Recreation Activities
Hamby Park — 1035 NE Jackson School Rd.
Come volunteer at Hamby Park and help remove invasive plants, mulch along stream corridor, work on trails, and plant native plants. Once the work is over, the fun begins! Participate in various outdoor recreation activities, including mountain biking, disk golf, and a nature-based scavenger hunt! Activities and materials are funded by an REI grant. Food and fun handouts provided to the first 100 participants!
Gloves, tools, and all necessary guidance provided. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. This event takes place rain or shine. Groups welcome — fun for the whole family!

Outdoor Projects
Looking for a group project outdoors? We can accommodate all ages and group sizes with projects out in the parks. Help pick-up litter, clean up landscape beds, work on trails, or remove invasive plants from natural areas. We provide the tools and supplies for all projects! |
Volunteer Requirements
Volunteers need to be 15 years of age or older. Some positions may require an application, background check, and an interview process. |
