The Committee is made up of the members of the City Council and an equal number of City residents appointed by the Council The Committee acts as the fiscal planning board for the City by reviewing, revising and approving the City budget as presented by the Budget Officer. At the first meeting of the year, members elect a Chair and a Secretary. At the second meeting of the year, members receive the budget message from the Chair and receive and review the budget document. During the meeting, opportunity is given for citizens to testify on budget-related matters.
