Councilor Nenice Andrews was encouraged by members of the community to run for City Council. She was elected to her first term on City Council in 2005, and was re-elected to serve in 2009, and has advocated for parks, open spaces and adequate backyards in new housing. She is committed to giving back to the community where she lives and to being a role model for her children.
Nenice is the Chair of the Finance Committee.
She has also been a volunteer swim coach, a volunteer U.S. Swimming certified meet official for over ten years, a board member of the Hillsboro swim team and served on the Glencoe High School Site Council from 2003-2005. She chaired the Parks Bond Measure Committee in 1998.
A lifelong resident of Hillsboro, Nenice is a nurse practitioner and focuses on women's health issues. Her two children are both graduates of Hillsboro's public education system and are now attending college.
Nenice has an associate degree in Nursing from Portland Community College, a bachelor of science in Nursing from Linfield School of Nursing in Portland and a master's degree from the University of Portland with a focus on adult nurse practitioner.
